The Blog Buildout: Day 4

(I will post the previous days shortly)
For Day 4 of the Blog Buildout, we spent the majority of the morning working on the ImageService in adding default images to the blog. These images will be displayed if no image is selected for a blog post, category, user, or the author.
For the second have of the morning, the concentration moved on to IdentityRoles. IdentityRoles allows you to create roles for different BlogUsers who register with the blog. This is where you would set the Admin or Moderators that you would add for the blog. This service is setup in a DataUtility.cs file originally to help seed the new database once the blog is hosted. Eventually, the blog will be hosted on Railway with persistence being done by a PostgreSQL Database. But more to come on that set up later.
The second half of the day was dedicated to beautification of the Blog. As a cohort, we worked with carving into a template that was prechosen for us. As individuals, we were able to style this up in any way that we chose as long as it maintains a professional look. The Blog will become an extension of the portfolio so I want to be able to extend all of the stylings from the portfolio.
The time table for the completion of the blog is the day before Thanksgiving. These blog post will then be added to the new home where anyone will be able to read them and comment as well. From that point on, the blog will become part of my daily journaling on my life as a developer. From there, the sky's the limit!!!
